# Using Presets

This guide explains how to create, manage, and use presets in the SheetPoet Google Sheets Add-on.

# What Are Presets?

Presets are saved configurations that store:

  • The selected function
  • Parameter mappings
  • Other execution settings

Using presets allows you to quickly execute common operations without reconfiguring settings each time.

# Creating a Preset

  1. Configure your operation (Import, Update, or Trigger)
  2. Click Save as Preset or select "Save as preset" from the function menu
  3. Enter a name for your preset
  4. Click Save

Your preset is now saved and will appear in the Presets tab.

# Using a Preset

  1. Click Extensions > SheetPoet - WordPress Connector > Presets
  2. Find your preset in the list
  3. Click Use
  4. Review the settings (they will be pre-filled)
  5. Click Process to execute

# Viewing All Presets

  1. Click Extensions > SheetPoet - WordPress Connector > Presets
  2. You'll see a list of all your saved presets with:
    • Name of the preset
    • Creation date
    • Server URL
    • Function type (Import or Upload)

# Deleting a Preset

  1. In the Presets tab, find the preset you want to delete
  2. Click the Delete button (trash icon)
  3. Confirm the deletion

  1. In the Presets tab, click the Export button
  2. All your presets will be exported in a file
  3. Save the file to your computer

# Importing Presets

  1. In the Presets tab, click the Import button
  2. Select the exported presets file
  3. The imported presets will be added to your list

# Best Practices

  • Use descriptive names that clearly indicate the preset's purpose
  • Create separate presets for different types of operations
  • Test presets after creating them to ensure they work as expected
  • Export important presets as backups
  • Delete unused presets to keep your list organized

# Troubleshooting

# Preset Not Loading Correctly

  • Check if the function it uses still exists in WordPress
  • Verify that you're connected to the correct WordPress site
  • Ensure your API key is still valid
